Our story
William Martinez spent the first fifteen years of his career inside default servicing operations in Boston and Phoenix, latterly running an REO desk that carried several hundred assets at a time. The pattern that frustrated him never changed: the asset was rarely lost in the courtroom or at the closing table. It was lost in the eight weeks nobody visited it.
A boiler that failed in November became a burst-pipe claim in January. A missed vacant-property registration became a daily municipal fine. A national vendor's $400 "grass cut" photograph turned out to be the wrong house. Every one of those failures was preventable by someone standing in front of the building.
So in 2013 he opened Maple REO Advisors LLC with two field technicians, a truck and eleven assets from a single credit union client. The firm has grown deliberately since — adding staff only when a market could be covered properly rather than nominally. We have turned down portfolio work outside our coverage area more than once, and we will tell you when a file belongs with someone closer to it.

Our field team is employed directly, not subcontracted through a national network. Technicians are background-checked, insured, equipped with geotagging inspection software, and assigned to fixed geographic routes so that the same person returns to the same building each cycle. Specialist trades — licensed electricians, plumbers, roofers — are drawn from a vetted panel we have used for years and re-qualify annually.
